Weight Loss Help Blog

Anyone who’s tried it knows that the journey to weight loss can often be a long and frustrating one. What makes weight loss even more difficult are the emotions we associate with certain foods and the act of eating. But we can’t do without food, so we need to cultivate a healthy relationship with it, both on a conscious and sub-conscious level.

There are quite literally countless opposing forces at work, whenever we consciously try to implement a weight loss strategy. This includes the idea of food reward (i.e.“I deserve this cake because I worked hard”) versus the idea of taking care of your body since our body image is intrinsically linked to self-confidence.

We encourage any approach that is helpful outside of the help with weight loss that we offer, as long as this does not conflict and is positive, healthy and helpful to you. But you need to be careful, because a bad weight loss strategy can lead to serious issues like depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, and vice-versa, all of which do not help with weight loss, and often make matters worse.. They can even have a detrimental effect on their careers, relationships and all of our otherwise positive daily experiences.
