Melanie’s story: Hypnotherapy for Chronic Fatigue & ME

Issue: Chronic Fatigue & ME
Helped using: Solution Focused Hypnotherapy in Bristol (Clifton)

Why did you come to Changes Welcome Hypnotherapy?

I’ve had chronic fatigue for ME– which I’ve had for a long time– which meant that I couldn’t go out very much. I was asleep most of the day everyday and I didn’t have an awful lot of life. I couldn’t work and couldn’t have much social life.

What were your First Impression of Liane?

Initially, I was a little bit skeptical about hypnotherapy. So when I came I was like, “I’ll try it, but I don’t think it would do anything for me”. But after seeing Liane, I did feel very hopeful. She gave me a feeling that well I think maybe she can help me– I got that feeling of hope. And that sent me home with a different feeling that there’s hope for the future

What were the benefits of your Hypnotherapy Sessions?

So first of all, the changes I saw was that I was more relaxed and wasn’t anxious– because before I was quite anxious. I was much more relaxed. And then as things went on, as I had more sessions, my chronic fatigue began to lift and I could stay awake more during the day. And I just felt a lot more happier, and more relaxed and I could do more everyday. My friends noticed that I was a lot happier, easier.

What would your advice be to anyone Thinking of Hypnotherapy with Changes Welcome?

I would say hypnotherapy really does work. It really does work. And I would just say go for it, don’t wait– because If you wait you’re missing out with really.

What would you say about Liane as a Hypnotherapist?

Yeah I’d say that Liane is a particularly good hypnotherapist. She’s very intelligent, she got me perfectly, she knew where I was coming from, I felt very comfortable with her and she’s very caring. So she was perfect for the job.
